Marcedes Lewis scored two touchdowns as the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Denver Broncos 24-17 and spoiled the NFL american football debut of former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow.
Tebow, who grew up in the Jacksonville area and played college football for the University of Florida, was named as back-up quarterback and entered the game on the third play but was not a factor.
Twice he ran for a yard and lined up as a wide-receiver for another play before watching the game from the sidelines.
His lack of involvement in the game will have disappointed many Florida-based fans of the 23-year-old who turned out in Tebow jerseys.
