The Davis Cup tennis player, Michael Venus, is the only New Zealander remaining in the ITF Pro Tournament in Cairns.
Venus, who's seeded second at the tournament, is through to the semi-finals after an emphatic 6-0 6-1 win over Australia's Matt Reid.
He'll meet qualifier Michael Look of Australia, who beat New Zealand's Rubin Statham 7-6 6-4 in the quarter-finals.
New Zealand women's player, Sacha Jones, lost her quarter-final 3-6 6-2 7-6 to the number eight seed Ana-Clara Duarte of Brazil.
