No time for complacency for Silver Ferns

5:24 pm on 5 September 2010

The New Zealand netball coach Ruth Aitken says the Silver Ferns have no room for complacency as they continue their build-up to next month's Commonwealth games with the third and final clash with Australia in Auckland today.

The Ferns crushed the Diamonds in the second test in Wellington after being well beaten in the first test in Australia, and will be keen to take the psychological edge into the games by beating their trans-tasman rivals and winning the series.

Aitken says the Silver Ferns can't afford to sit on their laurels if they're to win gold in Delhi, with Australia likely to come out stronger than ever in this afternoon's match.

She says the Ferns will need to keep developing their game to win the series and new Constellation Cup this afternoon, and keep that edge going into the Commonwealth Games.

The score was locked at 22-all at half-time.
