The Silver Ferns captain Casey Williams has taken a shot at the umpires after their 48-43 loss to Australia in the first netball test in Adelaide.
The Silver ferns led by 1 going into the final quarter when the Australian coach Norma Plumer made some changes in defence, including bringing on Kate Beveridge.
That slowed the ball to the New Zealand shooters, and Williams claims the Australians over-defending was crucial to the outcome.
The second of 3 tests is in Wellington on Thursday.
