The Blackcaps are heading back to New Zealand for a month of training following their elimination from the one day cricket tri-series against India and Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka, as they begin their build-up for next year's World Cup in the sub-continent.

The Blackcaps were humbled by India in the virtual semi-final overnight losing by 105 runs after being bowled out for just 118 in reply to India's total of 223.

Vice-captain Kyle Mills says the Blackcaps have a lot to work on if they're to be competitive on the Indian, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi pitches at the World Cup in February.
