The New Zealand women's rugby team have cemented their place at the top of pool A at the World Cup in England with an impressive 32-5 demolition of Australia.

The Black Ferns are firmly in first place on 10 points following their bonus point win over South Africa and this morning's comprehensive victory over the Wallaroos.

Openside flanker Justine Lavea was named player of the match scoring a brace of tries, and the number 7 says the Black Ferns pride themselves on going for the jugular.

The Black Ferns can guarantee they finish top of their group with a win over Wales in their final pool game on Sunday.
