Tasman CEO says they only have themselves to blame for financial strife

The Tasman Rugby Union has less than 24 hours to raise the quarter of a million dollars it needs to stay in the Air New Zeland Cup.

Tasman and Northland were both given a reprieve from the axe by the Rugby Union in September but only Northland has since met all the conditions to stay on in premier rugby.

Tasman Rugby Union chief executive Peter Barr says they had hoped for more money from the New Zealand Rugby Union but Tasman only have themselves to blame for the situation.
