The former England cricketer Chris Lewis appeared in court overnight after trying to smuggle around four kilos of cocaine into England through London's Gatwick Airport.
Guyana-born Lewis was arrested with a basketball player from London on his return from a trip to the Caribbean.
40 year old Lewis took 93 test wickets and ended his professional career in 2000 to take up coaching.
