Favourites storm to victory at Mission Hills

The favourites Sweden left the best till last at the World Cup of Golf in southern China.

Robert Karlsson and Henrik Stenson combined for a scorching 9-under par 63 on the final day at Mission Hills to win their first World Cup title since 1991.

They ended up 27-under par, three shots clear of Spain with Australia and Japan sharing third place.

It was the 5th straight World Cup win for a European country.

The New Zealand pair David Smail and Mark Brown blew out with a 75 to tie for 22nd in the 28-nation tournament.
