Duke of Edinburgh says All Blacks in for easy ride

5:40 pm on 26 November 2008

That well known rugby analyst the Duke of Edinburgh has told the All Blacks to expect an easy ride against England at Twickenham at the weekend.

The All Blacks have met Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip who took the chance to tell the visitors they would face little opposition from their hosts.

The prince made the comment to All Blacks captain Richie McCaw as the royal couple accompanied the team and Prime Minister John Key on a visit of a giant inflatable rugby ball near Tower Bridge in London.

The rugby world cup draw will be made there next week.

McCaw says Prince Philip asked him what it was like to play at Twickenham and spoke about the Wales match, adding he thought the All Blacks would find the going easier this weekend.

McCaw though says he's not so sure.
