17 year old licensed to drive in world championship rally

The Welsh teenager Tom Cave has been cleared to become the youngest driver in next week's world rally championship finale in Wales, after passing his driving test.

17 year old Cave from Aberdovey has been competing for the past two years in Latvia and already holds an international rally competition licence from that country.

But he needed the regular British licence to get between the stages in Wales on ordinary roads.
