New Zealand cricket has apologised to the West Indies who're about to embark on a tour here, expressing regret over a controversial test promotion.
The 'It's All White here' campaign run by the Otago cricket association to promote the upcoming test in Dunedin, had the potential to be misinterpreted says NZ Cricket CEO Justin Vaughan.
He says New Zealand Cricket accepts the promotion was put together with no racial overtone, but has apologised to the West Indies players and officials for any offence that may have been taken.
Vaughan says the West Indies cricketers, some of whom arrive in Christchurch tomorrow, will receive a warm welcome.
