Boks humiliate England at Twickenham

11:26 am on 23 November 2008

The Springboks beat England by a record score of 42 - 6 - England's worst losing margin at Twickenham. It was 20 - 6 at half-time.

This defeat for England surpassed the 21-point gap they conceded to New Zealand in a 41-20 defeat there two years ago.

It was also South Africa's sixth win in a row over England, whom they defeated 15-6 in their last meeting at the 2007 World Cup final in Paris.

The Wallabies also maintained their unbeaten record on their European tour with a nailbiting 18-13 win victory over France at Stade de France in Paris.

For the second week in a row the Australians had to rally from a second half deficit to squeeze out the win.

The touring Pacific Islanders have also beaten Italy 25 - 17, Ireland beat Argentina 17-3 at Croke Park in Dublin after it was locked up 3 - 3 at half-time, and Scotland ran out easy 41 - 0 winners against Canada in Aberdeen.

And Asian rugby champions Japan scored four tries as they ran out 32-17 winners over the United States to clinch the two-Test series 2-0.
