Davydenko says he wants to break into top ranks

The Russian tennis player Nikolay Davydenko believes he still has more to offer and is determined to make the Masters Cup final in Shanghai.

Davydenko has made the semi-finals with with a straight sets victory over Argentine Juan Martin del Potro and will now face either Andy Murray or Roger Federer in the semi-finals.

But the world number five-ranked player says he wants to achieve more than he has done so far.

He says he wants to play better and prove something and the only way to do that is to make finals and win Grand Slam tournaments.

Davydenko joins Novak Djokovic as qualifiers from the group.
