The Russian tennis player Vera Zvonareva will face the American Venus Williams in the final of the season-ending WTA Championship in Doha after both progressed in three-set victories in their respective semi-finals.
Zvonareva beat compatriot Elena Dementieva 7-6 (9-7) 3-6 6-3 while Williams beat the Serb Jelena Jankovic 6-2 2-6 6-3.
