Clarke sniffs miracle after century

India are 140 for 4 at drinks in their second innings, leading Australia by 176 runs on the final day of the third Test at New Delhi.

It looks headed for a draw, despite a lucky Michael Clarke century then a brace of late wickets denying India a series-clinching win on the fourth day.

The Australian cricketers have only the slimmest chance of an outrageous victory and must bowl India out then post the winning runs.

On Saturday Clarke was dropped three times on his way to 112 as Australia reached 577 in reply to India's 613 for seven.

Alhough a draw remains highly likely, matches such as Bangalore in 1998, Adelaide in 2003 and Adelaide in 2006 have proven that anything can still happen in Delhi.
