Silver Ferns struggling to cope in conditions

12:16 pm on 1 November 2008

The biggest concern for the Silver Ferns camp heading into Sunday's netball Test against Australia in Brisbane is just how the side will cope with the conditions.

Should the Silver Ferns topple the world champions it will mean they've beaten Australia three out of the four times the two sides have met this year and will also move New Zealand to the top of the world rankings.

The performance of newcomers mid -Courter Lianna Barrett-Chase and defender Katrina Grant in coming on and turning around an eight goal first quarter deficit in Melbourne particularly pleased assistant coach Wai Taumanu .

But she says that doesn't necessarily mean they'll have a part to play on Sunday.
