Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro has qualified for tennis's season-ending Masters Cup without hitting a ball.
Del Potro benefited from the Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's victory against American James Blake in the semi-finals of the Paris Masters.
The result guarantee he'll finish within the top eight in the ATP Race and join Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Andy Roddick and Nikolay Davydenko in the season-ending tournament in Shanghai from November 9.
The last spot will go to the winner of the final between Tsonga and the defending champion, Argentina's David Nalbandian.
