Scots run with mens world amateur trophy

Scotland ran away with the top trophy in mens amateur golf on a windy final day of the Eisenhower Trophy world championship in Adelaide.

The Scots became first time winners with a 20-under par total, to win by 9 strokes from the United States with another 5 shots back to Sweden in third place.

It was a bitterly disappointing last day for the New Zealand trio who crashed from fourth to 11th place, dropping five of those places on the last hole when Jared Pender and James Gill both went out of bounds.

New Zealand's world number one Danny Lee crashed from 5th in the individual rankings to 37th with a closing round of 84.
