6:23 am on 20 October 2008

The New Zealand netball captain Julie Seymour will be assessed today to see if she is fit to go to Australia for two tests there.

Seymour sat out the Silver Ferns third test win in Palmerston with an achilles tendon strain and if the veteran midcourter can't go to Australia in Thursday Lianna Barrett-Chase will join the squad,

Laura Langman stood in for Seymour on Saturday night when the Ferns beat England 61-22 to take the series 2-1.

The first test is in Melbourne on Sunday and the second's in Brisbane on November 1.
