After beating 10th seeded former world champion Vanessa Atkinson in the first round, the number 18 ranked New Zealander has beaten former world number one Natalie Grainger, the 4th seed from the United States in 5 games.
Hawke's will meet 14th seed madeline perry of Ireland in the quarter-finals after she upset New Zealand number one and 6th seed Shelley Kitchen 3-love.
