India's batting star Sachin Tendulkar is probably only one innings away from becoming test cricket's greatest run scorer.

After being dismissed for 49 in the second innings of India's drawn first test against Australia in Bangalore, Tendulkar needs only 15 more runs to break West Indian Brian Lara's world record.

Set 299 to win in Bangalore, Indian were 177 for 4 when the two captains agreed to call a halt to prceedings after two delays caused by bad light.
