The Wellington golfer Mark Brown has had an opening round of 71, one under par, at the Indian Open in Delhi.

Brown's back in Asia trying to cement his place as number one on the Asian tour money list by the end of the season.

He's tied for 35th, 11 shots behind China's Liang Wen-Chong, whose course record 60

has given him a five-shot lead over the local Jeev Milka Singh, Brown's main rival for the Asian tour money title.
