TKR set to perform at Bathurst

6:19 am on 8 October 2008

Team Kiwi Racing have arrived fully powered and determined to produce some sound results in this weekend's Bathurst 1000 motor race in New South Wales.

The team have arrived confident they can produce a solid showing with a very determined crew, well prepared car, solid driver line up and two new D3 spec race engines.

TKR's engine builder Craig Hasted has meticulously prepared both of the new D3 spec engines and is confident they will show good speed as well as reliability this weekend in the TKR All Black machine.

The financially troubled outfit, which has struggled at times to effectively compete in every round of the Australian V8 Supercars, will have Kayne Scott and Chris Pither at the wheel this weekend.

The lack of results on the track has not affected the backing for TKR off it, with more than 200 fans heading to Bathurst, the biggest hospitality support group for any single team in the V8 Supercar Championship at Mt Panorama.
