The English Premier League football side Liverpool has ended a seven-year wait for a home win over Manchester United with a 2-1 victory over the champions.
Liverpool's victory puts it on 10 points from four games, the same as Chelsea who won 3-1 at Manchester City.
Meanwhile Emmanuel Adebayor hit a hat-trick and Robin van Persie was also on target as Arsenal won 4-0 at Blackburn Rovers to go to nine points.
Elsewhere Newcastle United has lost 2-1 to Hull City and Portsmouth has beaten Middlesbrough 2-1.
West Bromwich Albion has sealed a first win of the season with a 3-2 home success over West Ham United while Fulham has continued a good start by beating Bolton Wanderers 2-1.
