A U.S Judge has reserved his decision after Team New Zealand filed an action against Swiss yacht syndicate Alinghi in regard to the delay of the next America's Cup.

In Manhatten earlier today Team New Zealand, claiming damages for breach of contract and breach of trust, sought to have its case remanded back to the New York Supreme Court where it was first filed.

Meanwhile Alinghi put forward a second motion calling for the New Zealand case against it be sent to arbritration.

The next America's Cup was scheduled for next year but has been mired in legal action since the completion of the 2007 event off Valencia.
