The chairman of New Zealand Cricket, Sir John Anderson, is retiring after 13 years in the role.
Sir John will formally step down at the organisation's AGM in Wellington on Friday.
He was appointed to the role in 1995 following the Hood Report, which modernised the structure of cricket in New Zealand, moving the game from a largely amateur-based setup to a professionally managed sport.
New Zealand Cricket CEO Justin Vaughan says Sir John's governance has revitalised the sport and its finances during some turbulent times.
Sir John will also retire from the International Cricket Council Board.
Board member Alan Isaac will be acting chairman until the board votes on a new replacement at the end of the month.
The former New Zealand rugby union chief executive Chris Moller will join the board succeeding Dennis Radford, of Palmerston North, who is retiring by rotation.
Moller stood down as the NZRU's CEO in December last year.
