Hunt on over racist attack at Wallabies Test

3:13 pm on 2 September 2008

South African rugby officials are offering a reward to help find three men responsible for attacking on a black woman during the Wallabies v Springboks Test in Johannesburg.

The SARU president Oregan Hoskins says 10 thousand rand, just under $2000, is on offer to anyone who can identify the men.

They racially abused and assaulted the Springbok fan in the corridors at Ellis Park at halftime in the Tri Nations match, which South Africa won 53-8.

Hoskins says the attack is an outrage and he's also alarmed that others saw it happening and didn't intervene.

The victim's been contacted and offered an apology.
