England have leapfrogged India and Pakistan into fourth place in the International Cricket Council's one day Championship table after clinching the home series against South Africa.
Kevin Pietersen's side won by 126 runs in the third one-day international at The Oval to clinch the five-match series 3-0 and can go second on the ICC ODI rankings if they win the remaining two matches against South Africa.
India has dropped to fifth place despite winning the series against Sri Lanka 3-2 in Colombo.
Sri Lanka had a consolation victory over India by 112 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method in the fifth and final one-day international.
New Zealand are third with Australia top and South Africa second.
