The New Zealand rider Sarah Walker has finished fourth in the final of the BMX at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
In a race punctuated by crashes Walker was well out of contention for a medal midway through the one off race, before the British world champion crashed on the final bend.
But Walker couldn't pull back the early deficit, finishing closely behind the USA, who took the bronze medal.
French riders picked up the gold and silver medals.
