Olympic medal hope Mahe Drysdale says he is feeling better but still not 100 percent as he recovers from a stomach bug.
Drysdale spent Thursday night at the New Zealand Olympic Village, rather than the hotel close to the rowing venue where the rest of the team is.
A New Zealand Olympic official says Drysdale is being monitored by five doctors, and was able to eat a good meal without any repercussions.
But the single sculler, who is favoured to win a medal today, is still not back to his best.
