The United States men's basketball team has slipped into Beijing, where they were quickly ushered through a VIP exit at the airport and straight onto a waiting bus.
The gold medal favourites were kept away from hundreds of basketball-crazy Chinese fans, one of whom chased after the team bus as it pulled away.
NBA stars such as Kobe Bryant and LeBron James waved through the windows off the bus as they drove off.
