Cristiano Ronaldo is again refusing to meet Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson for talks over his desire to join the Spanish football club Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old Portuguese winger was scheduled to meet with Ferguson at Old Trafford but has remained in Portugal, leaving his representatives to talk to the English club.
Ronaldo, who scored 42 goals for United last season, has a contract with the English club till 2012.
United have said they expect Ronaldo to play for them.
Real are reported to be willing to pay up to 85 million euros for his services.
