Devine has scored a quick-fire 57 (42 balls) opening the batting for the Scorchers in their final round match against the Adelaide Strikers in Sydney.

But it wasn't enough for Perth.

They were cruising to the 160 required for victory with Devine and Australian opener Beth Mooney putting on 118 for the first wicket

However after Devine was dismissed at the end of the 14th over, the Scorchers collapsed, losing a further six wickets and scoring just 38 runs from the final 36 deliveries to succumb to a three run defeat.

Sophie Devine smashed 87 from 53 deliveries in Perth's 10 wicket win over the Hobart Hurricanes on Saturday to lift the Scorchers to third on the table with a round to play.

They have finished fourth on the ladder, ahead of the Sydney Sixers on net run-rate.

The Sixers finished the round-robin with a five wicket win over the top of the table Melbourne Stars, thanks to Australian opener Alyssa Healy, who smashed 111 from just 51 deliveries.

The Stars will now play the Perth Scorchers in the first semi-final on Wednesday night, with the Brisbane Heat to play the Sydney Thunder in the second semi-final on Thursday.
