Holyfield to fight at 48

10:45 am on 12 August 2010

Evander Holyfield will fight Sherman "The Tank" Williams in November, just a few weeks after the former four-time heavyweight boxing champion turns 48.

Holyfield, who has a 43 and 10 record is coming off an eighth-round knockout of Francis Botha on April 10th in Las Vegas... it was Holyfield's first fight since a controversial decision loss to then-titleholder Nikolai Valuev in Switzerland in December 2008.

37-year-old Williams has a record of 34 wins and 11 losses.

Despite his age, Holyfield is still aiming for a major fight, and his connections say a victory over Williams could pave the way to a fight with titleholder Vitali Klitschko.

Holyfield, a 1984 U.S. Olympian, is in his 26th year as a professional fighter.
