The nomination of New Zealand's Alan Isaac for the presidency of cricket's governing body the ICC is set to be rubber stamped with India endorsing his nomination.
The Australian newspaper says a committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, met at the weekend and decided to back Isaac.
Isaac is the second nomination from Australia and New Zealand after the initial nominee, former Australian prime minister John Howard was rejected.
Given India generates up to 80 per cent of the game's wealth, that's the only approval really required in international cricket.
