Black Caps beat Indian club side

The New Zealand cricketers have beaten the Indian side Maharashtra by nine runs in a 50-over match in Darwin.

Batting first the Black Caps were bowled out for 173 in the 44th over with opener BJ Watling scoring 55 and Daryl Tuffey 26.

Maharastra finished on 164 for eight with Jacob Oram taking three for 29 from his 10 overs and Kyle Mills two for 28.

The two sides will meet another two times this week before the Black Caps head to Sri Lanka for a tri-series with the home side and India.
