The success of the football World Cup in South Africa has inspired the continent to plan a serious bid for the world athletics championships.
African Athletics Confederation president Hamad Kalkaba Malboum says Morocco is most likely to bid for the 2017 world championships and if they do, they think they can win.
The 2011 world championships will be in Daegu, South Korea, while Moscow will stage the event in 2013. London and Beijing have already announced bids for the 2015 championships.
The event has never been staged in Africa.
