New Zealand's Olympic shot put champion Valerie Vili was unable to break a losing streak to Nadezdha Ostapchuk, falling to the Belarussian for a fourth time this year at the Monaco round of the Diamond League athletics series.
The world indoor champion maintained her dominance over her constant rival Vili, winning by three centimetres with a mark of 20.23 metres.
Ostapchuk leads the overall standings in the event with 16 points to Vili's 12 with another Belarussian, Natalya Khoroneko-Mikhnevich, a distant third with just four points.
