No one was happier than the world golf number six Ernie Els after his protege Louis Oosthuizen cantered to a seven-shot victory at the British Open.
Oosthuizen is a graduate of the Ernie Els Golf Foundation which helps identify young talent in South Africa, and Els says it's absolutely unbelievable that his Foundation has produced its first major champion.
Els says the new champion is simply a "wonderful kid and perfect role model", who was always going to be an exceptional player, and he says the 57 he shot on his home course in South Africa will never be equalled.
