The French striker Thierry Henry has announced his retirement from international football.
Henry's announcement comes 24 hours after the news of his signing for the American Major League team New York Red Bulls.
The 32-year-old former Arsenal and Barcelona player played only a bit part in France's dismal World Cup campaign in South Africa which ended at the group stage
And the England striker Emile Heskey has also announced his retirement after his country's disappointing World Cup campaign.
Heskey made 62 appearances for England, scoring just seven goals.
