It'll be some time before FIFA declares its full income and profits from the World Cup finals in South Africa, but football's governing body is flush with money.
FIFA's revenue topped a billion US dollars for the first time last year, and accumulated revenue from the start of 2007 to the end of last year amounted to nearly $3 billion.
While the first World Cup to be held in Africa has been declared a roaring success, it remains to be seen if the 5-billion dollars it cost South Africa was money well spent.
