The All Whites striker Shane Smeltz is flying to China today to complete his medical tests after his A-league club Gold Coast announced they'd agreed to sell him for an undisclosed sum.
A host of clubs had been circling for Smeltz services, and the successful club Shandong Luneng is currently third in the Chinese Super League.
Smeltz was the A-League's golden boot last season, and his successful World Cup campaign included a goal against the defending champions Italy.
