New Zealand golfer Michael Campbell's in good company in missing the cut at the Scottish Open with a six over par 77 - the world's number two Phil Mickelson's also sitting out the weekend after shooting a three over par second round at Loch Lomond.
Despite a battling fightback the American's now lost all chance of deposing Tiger Woods as world number one.
And it seems Campbell's back to his poor run of form after finally making the cut last week after a nine-month, 13-tournament drought.
Doing a lot better at the final leadup event to the Open championship at St Andrews
was tournament leader Darren Clarke - the Northern Irishman led by three strokes at 10 under after a four-under 67 on the second day.
The best of the three New Zealanders was Mark Brown who made the cut with a three-over 74 to be two over overall, eight shots behind Clarke.
Danny Lee joins Campbell in missing the cut, though by two shots rather than the former US Open champion's 13.
