New Zealand's world champion single sculler Mahe Drysdale will have his first race for 4 months when he lines up at the Henley Rowing regatta on the Thames this weekend.
Drysdale has been restricted to training since injurying his back over the summer and he missed the first two World Cup regattas in Europe.
He says he doesn't have any great expectations for Henley, which is run on a 2 person knock-out format, but he doesn't expect it to be long before he gets his speed back.
Drysdale says his main aim is the World Championships on Lake Karapiro in October.
New Zealand will have 9 crews competing at Henley which is a leadup event to the third and final World Cup regatta in Lucerne next weekend.
