Newcastle and Cardiff have both claimed important Premier League victories while Burnley and Huddersfield picked up a point as the bottom sides boosted their survival hopes.

Salomon Rondon scored both goals as Newcastle beat sixth-placed Bournemouth 2-1 to move out of the bottom three with their second straight win.
Sol Bamba scored the winner as Cardiff beat 10-man Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1, lifting them to third-bottom above Huddersfield, who drew 1-1 with West Ham.
Burnley earned a point with a 0-0 draw at Leicester, the home side's first game at the King Power Stadium since the death of their chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.
Rondon gave Newcastle an early lead and doubled the advantage with his second five minutes before half-time.
Jefferson Lerma pulled one back on the stroke of the break and Bournemouth had a late goal ruled out but Newcastle hung on to go up to 14th, albeit just one point above the relegation zone.
Cardiff are third-bottom after Bamba grabbed the late winner, Lewis Dunk's lead having been cancelled out by a Callum Paterson header just before the half-hour mark.
But Brighton had Dale Stephens sent off six minutes later for a rash challenge and Bamba found the winner in the 90th minute to lift Cardiff up to 18th.
"I'm frustrated," Brighton manager Chris Hughton told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"Normally when you play that long with 10 men, you deserve a result. I think he (Bamba) was in an offside position for the goal."
Huddersfield are a point behind Cardiff, in second-bottom, thanks to a 1-1 draw with West Ham, Felipe Anderson denying the home side all three points with the equaliser 16 minutes from time. Alex Pritchard had opened the scoring early.
Southampton drew 1-1 with Watford to stay 17th while Burnley remain 15th after a goalless draw at Leicester in the afternoon's other match.
Home fans paid an emotional tribute Srivaddhanaprabha, who had helped guide the club to their remarkable Premier League triumph in 2016.
