The Phoenix defender Jon McKain is leaving the Wellington based A-League football club to join the wealthy Saudi-Arabian club Al-Nasr.
McKain has been with the Phoenix since 2008 and will join his new club Riyadh-based club subject to a medical clearance.
Phoenix chairman and owner Terry Serepisos says while it's disappointing to lose McKain, it shows the club can provide a pathway for players to clubs around the world.
