The New Zealand rugby coach Graham Henry says he's pleased with the All Blacks first performance of the year despite conceding 28 points to a 14 man Ireland in the 66-28 win in New Plymouth last night.
The All Blacks started strongly and jumped to an early lead before the game was effectively ended as a contest after the Irish number eight Jamie Heaslip was sent off for kneeing an All Black player in the head in the 16th minute.
With the game won the All Blacks defence leaked three tries in the final 25 minutes but overall Henry was happy with the first up win.
