Tennis: Venus through to quarter-finals at Paris Masters

Top New Zealand doubles player Michael Venus and his South African partner Raven Klaasen have battled through to the quarter finals at the Paris Tennis Masters.

The 6th seeds edged past Croatian Nicola Mektic and American Austin Krajicek in three sets, 3-6 6-4 10-5.

Venus and Klaasen will now play the unseeded pair of Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau for a place in the semis.

It's the final ATP tournament of the season before the World Tour Finals in London which Venus has qualified for the second straight year.
