The former Silver Ferns shooter Irene van Dyk believes it will be a challenge for new coach Noeline Taurua to mentor both the Silver Ferns and her Australian club side next year.

Taurua will see out her contract with the Sunshine Coast Lightning, the side she has twice won the Australian competition with.
It'll be a busy time for Taurua as she'll also be preparing the Silver Ferns for next year's World Cup and van Dyk says that will be difficult.
"That's going to be rough, I think being a Silver Ferns coach is a 24/7 job and coaching a franchise team is a 24/7 job too."
"But like Noels (Noeline) said right from the start, her family are right behind her and obviously Netball New Zealand, Netball Australia and Lightning Netball are right behind her and will put everything into place to enable her to cope."
"Noeline is not a person that will sweat the small stuff, she won't get into a tiz when things aren't working, if things happen they happen for a reason, so I think she'll be okay for next year."

Van Dyk was coach by Taurua for 11 years.
Taurua's first game in charge is next weekend when the Ferns take on England in the opening game of the Quad Series.
Van Dyk says fans can't expect Taurua to have immediate success.
"I hope the public don't think that this will be the answer to all their prayers, I think there is a lot of rebuilding that needs to happen, I think there are a lot of combinations that need to be built and things like that don't happen overnight and people need to be patient."
